Carrier E20 Software Download Software FromUsing Service Tool V is it possible to download software from an identical chiller, and upload. I have a feeling only the configuration can be downloaded with service tool V and that Carrier Service (who are almost non existent here since being sold) would have to upload new software which will take forever. When you buy the module you need to ask Carrier Spares to ensure it is downloaded with the software already via Carrier Service especially if there is no local office to you this will save a site visit. If spares are not local to a service office then it will be a a bit of a problem. It wouldnt be the first time a module has been sold and someone forgot to mention about software download. Its like a different company here, hence the reason for leaving. It was Only allowed by certain offices and was very protected Buy a Trane, we give it the software and program away free (Techview). The new service tool is called Tracer TU, but it will not be available for free. You will have to purchase a licensed copy, just like the Rover Service Tool. The new controller is called a UC800, big difference between the UC800 and CH530 is that the new controller can communicate to BacNet or ModBus out of the box with out adding any modules or BCU to interface with BMS system, Oh yeah and the nice new pretty 10 LCD touch screen with color 3D graphics. And yes as said previous, order boards pre programmed, you will have to configure, but it will come with latest software. HVAC-Talk is proudly provided by: Contracting Business Magazine.
